Quartzite
Audacia
Audacia is a Brazilian quartzite distributed in the US by MSI, quarried in Brazil and characterized by a blend of beiges and greens with touches of charcoal and black. Geologically it is a true quartzite: an old quartz sandstone recrystallized by metamorphic heat and pressure into a dense, interlocking quartz matrix that resists scratching and acid etching better than granite. The Latin-rooted name 'Audacia' (audacity/boldness) is an evocative trade name for the stone's confident coloring. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
